Lisa C. Chan
Lisa C. Chan is a litigation associate in the New York office of Ropes & Gray LLP and a member of the firm’s business and securities litigation practice group. Lisa concentrates her practice on corporate governance matters, complex commercial litigation, and federal securities actions. She assists in representing corporations, directors and officers, and special committees, in litigation involving mergers and acquisitions, hostile takeovers, tender offers, books and records demands, and class and derivative claims.
Before joining Ropes & Gray, Lisa practiced law at another top law firm and clerked in both the Eastern District of New York and the Delaware Supreme Court. Prior to law school, Lisa lived in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong for two years, studying Mandarin and working at the United Nations.
Lisa received her B.A. from Yale University and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Boston University International Law Journal.
