Monika Jedrzejowska is the Counsel dedicated to privacy and cybersecurity issues at Hearst, which is one of the largest diversified media, information, and services companies in the U.S., with more than 360 businesses. Monika advises the Hearst businesses on domestic and international privacy, data protection, data management and information security requirements. Prior to that, Monika was an Associate General Counsel – Privacy for Nielsen and a Senior Associate in the Global Privacy and Cybersecurity team at Hunton & Williams LLP. While at Hunton, Monika handled all aspects of security breaches and cyber events for retailers, technology companies, financial services corporations, healthcare providers, medical device manufacturers and other clients. Monika oversaw PR firms, forensic experts, call center and credit monitoring providers, drafted consumer and regulator communications and notifications, and helped clients deal with the aftermath of data breaches, including responding to regulators’ inquiries.
Monika has spoken on numerous occasions on cybersecurity preparedness, vendor management issues, and has conducted breach simulations. Monika graduated from Stanford Law School and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional – United States (CIPP/US).
