Nehal Madhani is an attorney and the founder and CEO of Alt Legal. Before Alt Legal, he was a practicing attorney at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP. Inspired to make legal practice more efficient, Nehal taught himself programming and founded Alt Legal, a company whose cloud-based IP docketing software helps legal professionals prepare and manage hundreds of thousands of IP filings and deadlines daily. He has been profiled in the ABA Journal, Inc. Magazine, Bloomberg, and Above the Law. Nehal was selected for the 2016 Fastcase 50 – an award that “recognizes 50 of the smartest, most courageous innovators, techies, visionaries, and leaders in the law.”
Nehal is also a CodeX fellow at Stanford Law School. He has a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from the Wharton School of Business, and a B.A. from Northwestern University. Nehal graduated from Northwestern University with a double major in biology and economics.
