Susan Akina counsels corporate and individual clients on a wide variety of immigration issues. Susan has successfully helped businesses and non-profits to obtain visas including H-1B, L-1, O-1, R-1, and EB-1 for their employees. Further, Susan has assisted individuals with their family-based petitions to reunite and keep families intact in the United States.
Prior to joining Guerrero Law Firm, Susan worked as an Associate Attorney at an international corporate immigration law firm with a focus on EB-5 Immigrant Investor visas.
She also has experience with humanitarian immigration law cases including T-visas, VAWA, and SIJS.
Susan is a Co-Chair of the Asian American Bar Association of New York’s (AABANY) Immigration Law Committee and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law and Smith College, cum laude.
Susan speaks Mandarin, Spanish, and Fujianese.
