TaeSoo Sean Kim
Sean Kim is an associate in Nixon Peabody LLP’s Los Angeles office. His practice includes intellectual property procurement and counseling and commercial transactions, with a focus on technology and healthcare clients. Sean’s experience includes drafting patent and trademark applications, IP license agreements, supply and distribution agreements, software services and development agreements, and end-user license agreements. As part of his broader IP practice, Sean represents art galleries and artist clients on drafting commercial agreements, including representation letters, exhibition agreements, and art consignment agreements.
Additionally, Sean currently acts as a trusted advisor to more than twenty emerging growth companies in biotech, digital health, technology, clean energy, and entertainment industries, and advises these clients on business formation and structuring, IP procurement and counseling, and commercial transactions, including capital raising and cross-border transactions.
Sean graduated with a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law; with M.P.H. from Columbia University; and with B.S. in Chemistry with Departmental Honors from Stony Brook University. Sean is a member of a New York State bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Sean currently practices in California under supervision of attorneys who are admitted in the state.
