William Hao is a senior attorney in the Alston & Bird’s Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Group. Mr. Hao is experienced in a wide range of bankruptcy, litigation, and out-of-court restructuring matters. He has represented numerous creditors’ and equity committees in complex Chapter 11 cases in a variety of industries that include healthcare, consumer products, and luxury hotels and resorts. Mr. Hao has represented secured creditors, trade creditors, lessors and lessees, and other parties-in-interest in all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings such as avoidance actions, claims litigation, and the assumption and rejection of contracts and leases. Mr. Hao has also advised major financial institutions in their capacities as trustees and master servicers for residential mortgage-backed securities trusts in connection with Chapter 11 proceedings. Additionally, Mr. Hao regularly represents professional service firms with respect to bankruptcy retention and fee matters.
Mr. Hao is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Management Association, the New York City Bar Association, and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
